SANDRA URE GRIFFIN

BIO AND ARTIST STATEMENT

I grew up in Webster Groves, MO and studied printmaking at the Kansas City Art Institute. From 2004 – 2011 I worked as a full-time artist in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. That was followed by a year creating art at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage in northern Missouri. I’ve been back in St. Louis since September, 2012. My work depicts our relationships to one another and to our planet. I believe our most vital tasks are taking care of our Earth and learning to live peacefully with each other. I hope my artwork reminds us of the importance of these tasks.
